Bird watching

The inner parts of the Porsanger fjord with its system of large beach tidal and shallow water areas, river mouths, islands, inlets and tidal currents, is one of the most important areas for migratory birds in Norway. There are many opportunities for those who like birdwatching. The following locations are suitable for bird watching:

Stabbursnes nature reserve, Vækker nature reserve, Børselvosen nature reserve and Stabbursdalen National Park.
