What is Biological Diversity?

What's the point?

As this exhibition shows, a lot of time and money are spent to save the Lesser White-fronted Goose from extinction. Many will maybe ask: "What's the point? Does it matter if a species disappeares?"

We will here try to answer these questions, but first we will have a look at the term "bio diversity"".

Biological Diversity - What is it?

Biological diversity, or bio diversity can simply be described as "all living" This includes all variation of nature types, animals, plants and other life forms at earth.

It is custom to split the biological diversity into three levels: genetical, species and ecosytem diversity.
